Brief History

Doyles Room was founded in 2004, originally on the Tribeca Poker Network (which is now part of the iPoker network). In 2007 the site moved over to the Microgaming/Prima Poker Network, and finally moved (in response to the Kentucky domain seizure case that cause Microgaming to drop US players) to the Cake Poker Network in January of 2009. The site is named for poker legend and 10 time WSOP bracelet winner Doyle Brunson.

Why Play on DoylesRoom

With online poker options in the States dwindling, DoylesRoom has emerged as a contender for the world's third largest poker site (behind PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker). Here's a rundown of what DoylesRoom has to offer:

Bonuses: At DoylesRoom, you shouldn't have a problem clearing bonuses as their release rate is one of the best around. You get 7 points for every $1 in tournament fee, and bonuses are released in $10 increments every 166 points. On top of this, there are always new bonuses or promotions to be had, so you'll always be working offf some sort of extra money.

Client Software: DoylesRoom's software isn't the smoothest online poker site, but it does the job. It's certainly more than playable and isn't normally problematic, so rest assured you're safe playing there.

Level of Competition: Given that they publicly offer rakeback in addition to great bonuses, you can expect to find lots of grinders and bonus whores at the lower limits. However, you'll also find plenty of fish at the tables, which means most of the games are pretty soft.

If you're looking for a site to call home - whether it be for rakeback reasons or just a change of pace - DoylesRoom deserves consideration.
